Registration is now open!  ARIAS·U.S. is pleased to announce that the 2017 Spring Conference will be held May 3-5, 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida.  This year, we’re excited to introduce several new engaging session formats, including round table discussion topics on new and evolving risks impacting the industry, as well as rapid fire case presentations to discuss the most critical reinsurance and insurance cases within the last three years.  The conference will also include hot topic discussions such as the Bellefonte case, ethical issues in collateral litigation, the limits of extra-contractual obligations in life and Property/Casualty and much more! Join us for great sessions, evening cocktails, amazing connections, and bask in paradise in one of the most beautiful resorts in South Florida.

New! Pre-Conference Workshop

Data Protection for Arbitrators Workshop – Secure Email & Encryption
Wednesday May 3, 2017 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 

This hands-on workshop will include an overview of both how to use and where to obtain secure email, disk and file encryption software programs. Handouts will be provided with various software options and instructions, and technical assistance will be available to help arbitrators download and install software if desired. Arbitrators should bring their business laptops with them to this workshop. Attendees will be divided into two rooms and at the end of the first session, the groups will switch rooms so that all attendees will participate in both the secure email, disk and file encryption workshops.

Please note that this free workshop does not meet the ARIAS·U.S. Certification initial application or renewal requirements.

Conference fees for member and non-member registration includes meeting costs, program materials, two breakfasts, two luncheons, three refreshment breaks, and two cocktail receptions.

Cancellation and Substitution Policy

Cancellation Policy: The cutoff date for a full refund of the Conference Registration fee is March 20th. Anyone who cancels between March 20th and April 24th will receive a refund, less a $100 administrative fee. Notification must be received in writing by email, fax, or postal mail. Refund will be issued by check. Failure to cancel by April 24th will result in forfeiture of the entire registration fee.

Substitution Policy: Substitutions are permitted with written notice by April 24th. Notification must be received in writing by email, fax, or postal mail. Failure to substitute a registrant by April 24th will result in forfeiture of the entire registration fee. If the registration fee for the person substituting is higher than the range for the person for whom payment has already been substituted, payment will need to be provided to cover the difference before the substitution is complete.

Early Bird Registration Deadline: In order to qualify for an Early Bird registration fee, both the registration and payment must be received at the ARIAS•U.S. office by the Early Bird deadline of March 20, 2017. If the payment is not received by the Early Bird deadline, the registration will be subject to the Regular registration fee.

Registration Payment Policy and Deadline: Final Conference Registration Deadline: April 24, 2017. The registration payment must be received in full before an attendee may participate in the conference; otherwise, the individual must pay the late fee and register onsite.

Hotel Accommodations and Reservations

Hotel Accommodations and Reservations:  ARIAS·U.S. has secured a block of rooms at a reduced rate at the Ritz-Carlton Naples. Reduced rate guest rooms start at $345, for the coastal view rooms and $419 for the gulf view/front rooms. Reduced rate rooms are on a first-come, first served basis, ending on April 7, 2017. Transportation Information: The Southeast Florida International Airport (RSW) is located approximately 25 minutes away from The Ritz-Carlton Naples hotel. Taxis are readily available at the airport for transport. However, the Naples Transportation & Tours (NT&T) (www.nttep.com) is the preferred and recommended provider of transportation services for groups and individual travelers. They can be reached at 239-262-3006. The Ft. Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) and the Miami International Airport (MIA) are approximately two hours away from the property.
