Course Description:
Please join us for the first ARIAS Event ever jointly hosted by the Educational and Member Services Committees. The Educational Committee portion will focus on a variety of practical disclosure issues:

“Everything You Need To Know (And More) About Your Disclosure Obligations in Reinsurance Arbitrations.”  We will discuss the nuts and bolts of your disclosure obligations, and answer all of your questions: what must I disclose;  what should I disclose; are my disclosure obligations different before and during an arbitration; and when does my disclosure obligation terminate?

Following that segment, the Member Services Committee will host a round table discussion between some of our most experienced arbitrators who serve in key roles as Arbitrator Mentors.  In addition to fielding questions from the audience, the Panel will discuss:

Practical issues that often arise while building an arbitration practice; resources available to ARIAS arbitrators; key components to effective marketing strategies; the importance of networking; and, ways to keep abreast of trends and developments in the insurance/reinsurance marketplace.

Refund/Cancellation Policy: The cutoff date for a full refund of the seminar registration is June 26th, 2017.  Anyone who cancels between June 27th  and July 12th will receive a refund, less a $100 administrative fee. Notification must be received in writing by email, fax, or postal mail.  Refund will be issued by check.  Failure to cancel by July 12th will result in forfeiture of the entire registration fee.

Continuing Education

ARIAS•U.S. Arbitrator Certification:
This workshop counts towards the ARIAS•U.S. Certified Arbitrator renewal requirements. If you are interested in initial certification, you may need to attend one or two seminars under Option C of the ARIAS•U.S. Certification application. Click here for more information.

CLE Credit:
ARIAS•U.S. is an accredited provider of New York State Continuing Legal Education.  The CLE credit amount is currently pending for this program.


Financial Hardship Policy

Financial Hardship Policy Statement: As required by the New York and Illinois CLE Boards, if a member of the state’s bar would like to attend an ARIAS•U.S. conference, but finds that he or she would incur a financial hardship by doing so, an application for waiver of the attendance fee may be made to the Board of Directors of ARIAS•U.S. Such application would be held in strict confidence.
