Peter Kanaris has served as a trusted advisor to insurance companies and professionals, having tried cases and arbitrations both nationally and internationally for 35 years. He has argued appeals in most of the United States Federal Courts of Appeal and numerous State Appellate Courts.  Peter represents clients in first-party property, cyber, extra-contractual and reinsurance coverage matters as well as commercial, construction and environmental disputes.

A frequent speaker on a wide range of legal topics, Peter has conducted seminars, workshops and best practices training at educational conferences sponsored by trade associations, legal organizations and insurance companies. He has also authored many law review and case study articles.

Before joining Hinshaw, Peter practiced at Kanaris, Stubenvoll and Heiss, where he was both a founding member and managing director.
