2017 Fall Arbitration Seminar
New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, New York, NY
November 1, 2017 | 1:00 – 5:00 pm

Arbitration for Arbitrators: Cradle to Grave
is a seminar for practicing arbitrators. Through a combination of presentations, and discussion panels; participants will explore and discuss issues that raise questions about what authority arbitrators have and how best to use it throughout the arbitration process. The seminar will explore this issue in a variety of situations, such as disputes over confidentiality, attempts to the change the scope of a proceeding through additions of contracts or claims, requests to issue declaratory relief and claims protocols, and to what extent arbitrators should draw upon their own knowledge of custom and practice as opposed to hear expert evidence to fill in gaps where direct factual evidence is missing or incomplete.
