EDWARD J. MCKINNON
Edward J. Mckinnon is the President of Claims Resource Management, Inc. He has forty plus years of professional experience in the insurance industry. Mr. McKinnon attended the University of Maryland and Merrit College, California, and served with the U.S. Army Intelligence Corps.
Mr. McKinnon began his insurance career in 1969 with the General Adjustment Bureau as a multi-line claims adjuster. From 1973 – 1988 he was employed with Harbor Insurance Company holding various positions until his retirement in 1988 as Senior Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors.
In 1988, Mr. McKinnon founded Claims Resource Management, Inc. (“CRMI”). CRMI employs 40 plus claim professionals and support staff. CRMI offers claims services to property, casualty and professional liability insurers and self insurers.
Mr. McKinnon has participated, as an arbitrator or umpire, in respect to reinsurance and insurance claims handling disputes, approximately twenty times.
Mr. McKinnon has given expert witness trial testimony approximately fifty times and expert depositions approximately 130 times.
Mr. McKinnon is a Licensed Insurance Adjuster in: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah and Washington.
Mr. McKinnon is a Past President and former Board of Director of the Excess/Surplus Lines Claims Association, and a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, with previous service as a Chair, Vice Chair and Committee and Faculty Member. Mr. McKinnon is also a Registered Professional Adjuster.
