Glenn joined Gen Re in May, 2020 as Senior Vice President, Head of North America P&C Claims. Glenn manages a staff of claim executives handling property and casualty claims, including general liability, specialty lines, auto, workers’ compensation, surety, ocean marine, cyber, and legacy/mass tort. The team protects Gen Re’s interests, provides superior service to Gen Re’s clients and supports underwriting strategies.
Prior to his time at Gen Re, Glenn was a Senior Vice President at CNA Insurance, leading Complex Commercial Claims, comprised of: (1) Environmental & Mass Tort (long tail, large exposure claims including sexual molestation, opioids, non-legacy pollution, concussion, glyphosate, talc, lead paint, food contamination, chemical exposures, etc.); (2) Construction Defect; and (3) Life Sciences. Glenn also led the group responsible for oversight of CNA’s loss portfolio transfer agreement of its asbestos and legacy environmental claims to National Indemnity Company. Previously, Glenn was a Vice President at The Hartford where his leadership responsibilities included asbestos, environmental, mass tort and construction defect direct claims, multinational claims and ceded and assumed reinsurance claims and commutations. Glenn’s responsibilities included claim organizations in the U.S. and the U.K., and he served as the business lead for the Part VII transfer and subsequent sale of The Hartford’s U.K. legacy entity to Catalina. Earlier in his career, Glenn was a Managing Counsel with Travelers Property & Casualty, and an associate with the law firm of Day, Berry & Howard (now Day Pitney) in Hartford, CT.
Glenn earned his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law (cum laude), and B.A. in economics from Wesleyan University.
